Grace Health recently celebrated Week of the Young Child with its patients. This year’s theme is superheroes. The week started off with Music Monday. Instruments were available in the Pediatric waiting area for patients and visitors to play. During Tasty Tuesday, Grace Health’s Dietician made some healthy snacks for everyone to try and even provided the recipe to anyone interested. Wednesday was a day of reading. Children under 5 years of age received an activity bag and those over 5 years of age of received a free book to take home. Artsy Thursday allowed patients time to be creative. Throughout the week, Iron Man and Captain America made surprise visits to the Pediatric Waiting Area. On Friday, Spiderman joined the festivities and spent the day at Grace Health visiting with patients and staff. Patients were able to get a family photo with the superheroes. Items given each day including prizes for Grace Health’s upcoming Pediatric Health Clinic on April 27 – 28, were provided through the support of Grace Health’s superhero sponsors Meridian, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield / Blue Care Network, McLaren Health Plan, Molina Healthcare, Aetna, and Priority Health.
